ICI has licensed on a world-wide, exclusive basis the patent portfolio relating to gene therapy applications for regulating smooth muscle tone. These were developed by Drs. Melman and Christ at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The portfolio includes the U.S., Europe and other major markets. Four US Patents, 1 European Patent and 2 Australian Patents, 1 Canadian Patent, 2 Korean Patents, and 1 Japanese Patent have been allowed, and 9 applications are pending.
